As usually, here is the full test server info we got:


Dear Testers,

welcome to this summer's test server! It will go online within a short time and be open to all gamemasters, senators and tutors who have been with us for at least since the 14th of june. In addition, individual Fansite-admins and their helpers have been chosen by our CommunityManagers to join the testserver. To provide access to the new areas, all invited accounts will be premium. Of course this only affects the testserver and will have no influence on your real Tibia accounts.

This summer you are able to explore what lies behind the great gate of the Emperor. Zalamon, the supporter of the resistance, will send you on a quest to finally crush the mighty emperor, who is responsibly for the spreading corruption within the continent of Zao. Therefor you will be able to travel to the lizards main settlement, the city of Razzachai. You will have the solve quests and fight your way through hordes of nasty new monsters, to eventually find out about the mysterious plans of the dragon emperor. Other tibians have their own interests and will also probably send you to Zao in order to help them. The city of Razzachai and the surrounding region provide a huge area to explore.

The tibian supply-researchers have made a quite stunning invention: The stacking of runes and potions is now possible. You will now be able to organize your inventories faster and more comfortable.
A lot of old monsters have changed their loot and will now provide you with stackable, light loot-items, which you can sell to various NPCs for gold.

Jean Pierre will need your help to cook the award-winning new meals which have been chosen in the Recipe Contest.

And finally the introduction of achievements will give you the possibility to show your characters greatest acquisitions.

There are Testserver Assistants in each town who will hand out money. Simply ask them for money or gold and you will receive 100k pocket money each time. This time they also trade some rare items with you to check out our newly implemented achievements. They will also help you to prepare yourself for starting the main quest.


How to join

The link for the Testserver Client is posted in the announcement on top of this board.

As we want to invite you to test our new achievements, a test website will be online for the duration of the test. The link to the website is also posted in the announcement on top of this board.
When using the testwebsite it is recommended to delete all cookies from tibia.com. Otherwise you may experience some strange effects, formerly known as "The Cookie Madness"!
Please note that the info about how much Players are online will not be updated. Also the forum section on the testwebsite will be deactivated.

Please be so kind and don't spread those URLs to people who can't enter the test server anyway.

Both Testservers will start as Optional-PvP, so everyone of you can concentrate on testing

In case you already have an installation of an old Tibia testserver client from one of the last test servers it is recommended to uninstall that one before installing the new Tibia testserver client.

The Windows installation script is pretty much self-explanatory, simply download it, run it and follow the on-screen instructions. Afterwards you should have an icon called "Tibia Testserver" on your desktop. Doubleclick that and log in.

The Linux package must be unpacked by yourself using the command "tar xfz <filename>". A new folder named "TibiaTestserver" will be created which contains the client and its supporting files. Switch to that folder, run the binary "Tibia" and log in.

Since the test server client is handled as a different application you neither have the configuration file (Tibia.cfg) nor the automap files (*.map) from your regular Tibia client. If you want you could manually copy those files.

All in all the Tibia testserver client should not interfere with the regular Tibia client in any way.


New Areas

This update mainly features the northern area behind the great lizard gate of Zao. Also a new dungeon under Banuta will be reachable within the main quest. I will not spoil here how to reach the new area, because Zalamon is waiting for you and will soon tell you how to cross the great gate. The NPCs in the new area will provide you with further information about Zao and the conflict between the emperor and the resistance.
Apart from Razzachai with its glorious palace, you will find numerous other landmarks behind the Great Gate - such as cursed rice terraces, a forbidden village, old temple complexes and a hidden rebel base.

Once you have reached an area, preferably try to explore it completely - meaning there shouldn't be any black spots left on your map. While you are in the new areas, please check the following things:

* Use the new mailboxes and check whether the mail arrives at its proper destination
* Can you get close enough to all signs to read them?
* Look at new decorative elements


NPCs, Monsters and Outfits

New NPCs

Please have a conversation with the following NPCs. Depending on their function, check if e.g. buying/selling single and multiple items or exchanging money works as it should. If an NPC is questrelated and doesn't have any other function, you can wait until solving that specific part of the quest before talking to him.

Changes in Bank NPCs
All Bank NPC have been extended with a new Check: Before you are given the amount of gold you want to withdraw, the NPC checks if you have enough space and capacity in your inventory. If the check fails, the NPC does not throw the money on the ground (as it was until now) but will abort the transaction. So your money will be save from be thrown at the ground.


New Monsters

Please find and kill the following new monsters - actually you should stumble over all of them automatically while exploring the new areas. Check if they are too strong for the area where you have found them. Are all corpses displayed correctly in all decay states? Are the corpses (not) movable or (not) takeable according to their size and weight? Does anything seem strange about their loot? Are the monsters killing themselves?

There are also new raids and boss monsters which will not be spoiled here. Some of them you might encounter during your quests, others maybe per coincidence.

New Outfits
We have implemented a new outfit in the Style of a travelling adventurer, which will be a reward of the main questline. Please check out if all colors change correctly and look for graphic bugs.


New Quests

a) Main Quest

The Main Quest will bring you behind the great gate. In order to start the Quest, you need to have helped Zalamon already in it's fight against the emperor. On the testerver, these preconditions will be set (if needed) by the testserver assistants, if you ask them about 'quest'.

b) Other

Some other NPCs also need your help:

* An NPC in Edron tries to forget it's problems with a mug of beer...
* An NPC in Farmine who has special interests in some plants
* An NPC who resides in a mysterious old village in the mountains north of the great gate.
* Jean Pierre needs you to try out the new contest-winning meals


Items, Loot, Hunting Grounds

A lot of new items have been implemented. Besides Questrewards and new Questitems, a lot of old monsters have changed the stuff they usually carry with them, so a great number of new items is waiting to be looted by you. I will not spoil a comprehensive list of the items, but i will provide you with the adjusted monsters. Please try to kill each monster until it drops something uncommon. The new loot items should all be stackable, so pleast test them on stacking and their correct names and descriptions. The items will be sellable to NPCs, especially Legola, Todd, Melfar, Brengus und Partos have begun to buy lootitems.

Stackable Potions and Runes

The last issue is the one with the most influence on our game mechanics: Runes and Potions are now stackable. Keyrings have changed to Jewelled Backpacks (which have 22 Slots and weigh 17 Oz.). In addition you will get a broken keyring for each keyring that has been in your inventory, which can be sold to Partos for 8k gold. Overcharged runes have been converted to special memorial items. To test this feature i need all of you to take care at the following subjects:

Check your inventory
As we have converted all Characters, please check if your items are still nearly the same as Monday the 14th of june (the time where the backup has been taken). Your potions should NOT have been autostacked, so besides changing in overcharged runes and the change of keyrings to Jewelled Backpacks, your inventory should not have been touched.

Use the stacks
Use potions runes and all other stacks in the most fluent situations: Moving, Trading with each other, trading with NPCs, sending Post, claiming rewards, looting...


Various Adjustments

Extended Statement Reports
Since we have extended the statement reports, you can test this feature with the Tesserver Client: Try to make statement reports from all of the following Channels and in various constellations:
* Party channels
* Guild channels
* Private chat channels
* Default channel
* Private messages.

We have introduced achievements which can be viewed on the website. Check next post.

Various
We have also implemented some bugfixes and adjustements:
* Increased the expire-time of Harmless Magic Fields on Optional-PvP Worlds.
* Dead Fire Elementals do not drop FireFields but "Remains of an elemental"
* Added the "Kick"-Feature to the most important Captains to prevent blocking/trapping on boats

Compare yourself with other characters of your game world in the "Highscores". Achievements yield a certain number of points depending on their grade of difficulty:

Allow Cookies?
With a perfectly harmless smile you fooled all of those wisecrackers into eating your exploding cookies. Consider a boy or girl scout outfit next time to make the trick even better.

Bearhugger
Warm, furry and cuddly - though that same bear you just hugged would probably rip you into pieces if he had been conscious, he reminded you of that old teddy bear which always slept in your bed when you were still small.

Bone Brother
You've joined the undead bone brothers - making death your enemy and your weapon as well. Devouring what's weak and leaving space for what's strong is your primary goal.

Chorister
Lalalala... you now know the cult's hymn sung in Liberty Bay by heart. Not that hard, considering that it mainly consists of two notes and repetitive lyrics.

Honorary Barbarian
You've hugged bears, pushed mammoths and proved your drinking skills. And even though you have a slight hangover, a partially fractured rib and some greasy hair on your tongue, you're quite proud to call yourself a honorary barbarian from now on.

Huntsman
You're familiar with hunting tasks and have carried out quite a few already. A bright career as hunter for the Paw & Fur society lies ahead!

Just in Time
You're a fast runner and are good at delivering wares which are bound to decay just in the nick of time, even if you can't use any means of transportation or if your hands get cold or smelly in the process.

Grade 2 Achievements

Champion of Chazorai
You won the merciless 2 vs. 2 team tournament on the Isle of Strife and wiped out wave after wave of fearsome opponents. Death or victory - you certainly chose the latter.

Simple hams and bread merely make you laugh. You're the master of the extra-ordinaire, melter of cheese, fryer of bat wings and shaker of shakes. Delicious!
